Have you been wondering why there are boulders on the new library site?  They were purchased by the flood control district to help with the day lighting of the creek that will border the library.  They will be located in the creek and will help to prevent erosion.

Great new website!

We were wondering what those boulders were for.

I am curious about the criteria the library uses for “community programs” to be eligible to use space for meetings.

Thanks Ken–we are excited to have an interactive forum.

Mary, we have a meeting room policy that all groups who use the room are required to read, sign, and adhere to. It starts “The primary purpose of the meeting rooms is . . for programs and meetings of the library and other governmental agencies. The library also encourages use by community based organizations and non-profit groups.” It goes on to list 18 rules and regulations associated with using the room. Anyone interested can stop by the Reference Desk and we’ll give you copy.
