Summer activities have started at the Castro Valley Library. We have had classes here for library tours.  Kid Power kids are ready to sign you up for the Summer Reading Game. They will help you spin and win prizes from our many wonderful sponsors including The Charles M. Schulz Museum, Chabot Space and Science Center, MOCHA, The Lawrence Hall of Science, LEGOland, Oracle/San Francisco Giants, the Alameda Library Foundation, and the Friends of the Castro Valley Library.

Check our Eventkeeper listing. We will have performers and movies, storytimes and Reading Buddies, game days and nature programs–too much to list here!

We enjoyed our last Berkeley Repertory Theatre Workshop this week with a Castro Valley version of Lemony Snicket’s, The Composer is Dead.  The kids had fun playing dead, violas, and their grand finale of the walking dead.  We hope to have Berkeley Repertory Theatre back for more workshops in the Fall.

We built em’ and raced em’ at the last Lego Club Play Date, and will meet again for free play on Thursday, June 23rd from 1:00-2:30pm.
