Our summer reading game drew to a close this past weekend. More than 80 people participated and entered book reviews for the prize drawing. Here are a few more recommendations from our patrons. Enjoy the waning days of summer and keep reading!

Debra recommends The Forgotten Room by Lincoln Child. “Quite a thriller!” she writes, “Thought it was going to be a ghost story, but it was much more complex. Very interesting read!”

Jim found This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate by Naomi Klein very informative and writes that the book, “presents the various ways individuals and groups are fighting the fossil fuel companies on many fronts, including fracking, tar sands, and coal.”

Rebecca gave high marks to Excellent Sheep by William Deresiewicz. She called it “an enlightening book about how colleges have strayed off the path of teaching students to think for themselves and how colleges can find their way back to the true goals of education.”
