On Wednesday, preschoolers and their parents got a preview of classes being offered by the Hayward Rec Department called “Music Together”. Kids and parents had a fantastic time movin’ and groovin’ to the music, playing instruments, and singing and dancing.

Did you stop  at the Library’s booth at the Fall Fest on Saturday or  Sunday? Library staff, Friends of the Library, and members of the Alameda County Foundation were there to talk to those who stopped by to chat about the new Library and our upcoming library programs. There was even a scale model of the library, which is scheduled to open in the fall  of 2009. Everybody was a winner too at our “Wheel of Chance”! Prizes were donated by Gilroy Gardens, Merrill-Lynch, the Friends of the Library, and various individuals. It was great to see so many familiar faces among those who stopped at the booth.  Hope to see you at the Library soon!
