The Friends of the Castro Valley Library had a roaring success with their book sale over the weekend. The Friday evening preview sale, the Saturday sale, and the Sunday Three Bucks a Bag super deal were all well attended by bargain shoppers and library supporters.

Money raised from the sale of books provides the library with wonderful “extras”–special programs, new Early Literacy touch screen computers, items for our preschool storytimes and much else. The Friends volunteers work hard to turn donations into added benefits for our members.

And in response to our most frequently asked question about the Friends, “When is the next book sale?”, the answer is August 19th (member preview), 20th and 21st. Mark your calendar now.
