Castro Valley Library

  As in past years the Castro Valley Library will provide tax forms in the lobby of the library.  Due to the change in the law concerning the Alternative Minimum Tax some taxpayers will be unable to file until after Februry 11th.  For more information on this development check the IRS website http://www.irs.gov/  Tax forms will be available in the library until April 25th.

Did you know? The Alameda County Planning Department is working on its first new General Plan for Castro Valley since 1985? The Library has 2 copies of  the 2007 Castro Valley General Plan Draft Report available for you to read and study. Our copies are “for Library use only,” however, you may download or read the complete Report online at the Planning Department website  http://www.castrovalleygeneralplan.org/.

The Library also keeps agendas for all Castro Valley Municipal Advisory Council meetings and receives Staff Reports for conditional use permits, variances and zoning changes. If you receive a “Notice of Public Hearing” for matters in your neighborhood or just want to know what’s going on in town, come to the Library Information Desk .
